Welcome to my first best vegas happy hour blog
Going out for dinner and drinks is one of my favorite hobbies. However, the recession has put a damper on a lot of my fun activities. I'm from the Midwest part of the country, and every place there has a "happy hour." Meaning, some kind of discount or special price on drinks or dinner at a specific time of day. When I first moved to Las Vegas in 2002 it was very rare to find anything like this when I went out. During the economic boom 2004-2007 I was never able to find anything like this at all. Now during the recession every bar or restaurant I go to has some kind of happy hour, and I even get deals in the mail. I thought it would be fun to build a website to keep an updated list and the locations of these specials. I'm incorporating my blog into this site.

ReplyDeleteGood mission statement - should fill a need to know that will garner lots of followers as long as you keep the info flowing. Great start!
ReplyDeleteAbout half the bars I worked at in Vegas (we're not going to discuss how long ago that was) had happy hour. The other half had enough gaming to offer free drinks to gamblers and felt that was sufficient discount. Looking forward to seeing how the attitudes have changed through your posts!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first got to Vegas I noticed Happy Hours at (what I thought to be) strange hours such as 6:00am or 11:00pm. But then I realized how much sense that makes in a 24 hour town. Everybody doesn't work 9-5 here.
